How deep would you go to reclaim yourself?
A contemporary myth of courage and healing, Innerone is an extraordinary narrative in which the protagonist meditates to her mind's underworld to find the younger self she betrayed. Although she thinks she knows what to expect, the surprises keep coming. Her expectations dashed and new-age ideals thwarted, she discovers she is neither alone nor in charge. Her spunky inner-child, her esoteric higher-self, her unconvinced inner-scientist and others—all of whom hold different beliefs, values and desires—converse and argue, travel and shop (not your usual mall).
And the subtle question swirls... how different would her actions be, what changes would play out in her life, if she flipped from believing she is broken to recognising that she is whole just as she is?
Accolades:
"Innerone is liquid poetry that one can swim in for hours, mesmerized by the pure, raw truth of it. Alicia Thomas-Woolf has taken that which we believed ugly within us and transformed it into a beautiful tapestry of courage and hope."
Katherine Woodward-Thomas, bestselling author of Calling in 'The One'
“I have said often that our inner dialogue - what we communicate to ourselves - has a huge impact on the way we project ourselves in our outer world. If you took that statement and turned it into an alchemy of metaphor, poetry and narrative, Innerone would emerge."
Nadia Bilchik, CNN Editorial Producer, Author, Speaker
"Wow... I've spent my life as a writer, well a large part of it anyway, and after reading your book I'm almost at a loss for words... honestly, this is some seriously great writing... really and truly wonderful to read."
Michael Billington, award-winning journalist, author and Vietnam veteran
“I’ve never read anything like Innerone. I loved how the story fell into place and how, on a psychological level, it is empathic with just about anyone who has suffered a trauma. This is a superbly written read. I highly recommend it not only to my clients, but to my colleagues and friends too.”
Rachelle Baitz, Clinical Social Worker
“[The] writing is superb and I could relate to it. I've always been so fascinated with our inner dialogue and how greatly it can affect everything surrounding us. It really is an incredibly powerful piece of work.”
Shari Nementzik, Entertainment Editor of Woman’s Day and Yours magazines, Sydney

Alicia Thomas-Woolf, nee Woolf, is an author, poet, singer/songwriter, blogger and publisher.
Within her role as a publisher for Intersoft, she ghost-wrote The Right Mind for Golf and From the Classroom: Microsoft IT Academy, as well as created the Southern African IT editions of the IDG …For Dummies series, and Que Publishing’s 10 Minute Guides.
As a publisher with her own company, ada enup (which stands for A Daring Adventure to Enchant and Uplift), she publishes books with content that has almost always never been published before, books that have a major impact within their relevant areas in South Africa. These books include the first ever book for the South African music industry, The South African Music Business, a nearly 700 page tome by producer and lecturer Jonathan Shaw that covers all areas of the industry and has become known as the ‘bible’ of the SA music industry; Taxi Hand Signs, the first and only book for millions of SA mini-taxi commuters that collates hand signs and destinations, researched and illustrated by international fine artist Susan Woolf; AmaZizi: The Dlamini of Southern Africa, again the first book to comprehensively tackle the genealogy, history and culture of the AmaZizi people and related groups; and the National Eisteddfod Academy Anthology, which was the first book to contain poetry graded and style-classified in all 11 official South African languages, as well as the first to have a comprehensive essay on how to teach praise poetry. Through ada enup, Alicia also supports universities, tertiary educators, lecturers and writers who wish to self-publish with advice and publishing.
As a writer, Alicia has lately been channeling her work through her publishing company. She has authored short stories Cheery Red, The Mysterious Jagg, Options and poetry book I Spy . She has collaborated on an art book with fine artist Lesley Anne Price, where her words were written to complement Price’s photography. Her upcoming releases are Innerone, which has already garnered much advance praise and will be released in the States, and The Newborn Baby Checkbook, which came out of her own experiences of being a typically ignorant new parent.
Alicia is currently working on the taboo topics children's series, notably Powerful; a history, a fantasy and new editions of several of her author's books.
